Zoo progress pt. 6

 

 Some more progress on the zoo. Quite a few updates to existing exhibits and creation of some new ones. I now have frogs, glow squid, axolotls, and a bat in the nocturnal exhibit too. I'm currently breeding axolotls in attempt to breed the rare blue variant.

I needed a place for some pigs and chickens, and J suggested a small petting zoo. I built it close to the front entrance.

Closer detail of some of the internal walls with the outer wall behind it. I was going to strip the bark off the birch logs here, but I actually quite liked how it turned out.


Some more detail of the other wall now that it is completely finished. I capped the entire surround with mud brick slabs and a few stairs.

I'm going to try and get a ravager into this pen, but if I can't then I'll have to figure out something else to put in there.

This exhibit will be for sheep and cows and sort of represent a birch forest or meadow.

It took me a long time, but I managed to bring two pandas over from a bamboo jungle over 5km away. I ended up bringing them through the Nether to make things quicker, but it was not easy!

The ocean exhibit now has two dolphins in there! They were incredibly hard to get over to the zoo and I ended up flying while holding them with a lead , after already giving them a splash potion of slow-falling. Unfortunately two died on the trip, but these two survived and are named Flipper and Darwin. This exhibit will also feature some squid and cod.

After many nights, my turtle eggs hatched, and there's now four turtles in the river exhibit. I still need to bring more salmon over.

A small update on the lush cave/creeper exhibit. I've placed a little more greenery and a micro geode
