Zoo progress pt. 1
(Update progress 21 December 2022) I built a library which has a museum, an archive, and a gallery. All of those are static so it seemed like a good idea to build something to contain all the things that give life to Minecraft - a zoo. So I set about designing one. Initially I picked a piece of land (north of the library), took a screenshot of the area and played around with a layout in photoshop. After getting inspiration from the Central Park Zoo, I then redesigned it again on paper and worked out where each exhibit would sit, along with public paths, zookeeper access, elevation and borders.
Original photoshop layout (left) and updated hand drawn layout (right). I have followed the new layout fairly faithfully with some minor dimension adjustments.
A view of the aviary area and savannah and jungle exhibits on the right.
The polar exhibit (front) and water exhibits (top). The layout of the nocturnal building is on the left.
